Marine biodiversity festival

Port-Fréjus is once again this year at the service of marine biodiversity! Organized by the harbor master's office, the event will take place on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 June, around an educational and fun day in order to (re) discover the importance of preserving our sea!

Alban Michon, specialist in extreme diving, will offer a conference on his underwater expeditions in the land of polar bears. The public will be able to discover his film "Arktic" on a giant screen.

In the program :

  • Inauguration of the second part of the “Grouper trails” (7 new modules)
  • Stands, conferences and events to raise awareness, young and old, about environmental protection
  • Screening of the film Arktic with Alban Michon from the Boatcom boat

PROGRAM for Sunday June 27

(Place deï Tambourinaire and islet of the port)

  • 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – ENVIRONMENTAL VILLAGE with the participation of around fifteen exhibitors
  • 11 a.m. – INAUGURATION OF THE MEROU TRAILS, 2nd phase of the educational course on marine biodiversity aimed at raising public awareness of the preservation of the marine world. A guided tour will be offered in the afternoon
  • 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. – CONFERENCES and ANIMATIONS on the themes of the sea and biodiversity
  • 6 p.m. – FREE "MELTING POTES" CONCERT aboard a pointu Provençal
  • 8:30 pm – CONFERENCE BY ALBAN MICHON, French polar explorer specializing in extreme diving, followed by the projection of his film “ARKTIC” on a giant screen at 9 pm from the Boatcom boat moored in front of the islet

PROGRAM for Monday, June 28

(exclusively reserved for the school public – Harbor master's office)

  • From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – ATELIER BIOHUT: reception of two classes from the Turcan school in Fréjus

These workshops will be led by the team from the Harbor Master's Office and the company ECOCEAN, specialist in ecological restoration and creator of biohut fish nurseries installed in the seabed of the port.
